Title: Colourfull Fruits
Description: SOLVED - Amy wins!

JJW009 - August 16, 2008 04:27 PM (GMT)
Post the name of a fruit that is also a colour. No double-posts.

The last post is a winner

Orange!

If we allow some of the naming things from paint descriptions, we could be here for a while.

Lemon

JJW009 - August 16, 2008 05:43 PM (GMT)
Indeed. Please note however, that a fruit must have pips or a stone to count. Flowers are not fruit, so no magnolia!

I say:

A fish is neither fruit nor colour

I'm not sure I've ever heard "blueberry" used as a colour either, but it's probably in the Dulux colour chat somewhere

Strawberry

belchingmatt - August 20, 2008 08:10 PM (GMT)
Hey the fish wasn't an attempt.

Avocado

Mrs Redeyes - August 21, 2008 10:58 AM (GMT)
Cherry

Strawberry

Apparently, the G3 was available in lime (lime green), strawberry (pinkish-red), blueberry (royal blue), grape (purple), and tangerine (orange-yellow).

We've already used those though. I can only think of one more:

Olive

I'm pretty sure that's a fruity colour, although it's not very colourful

Well, technically that colour isn't called "Tomato" it's Tomato Red, there isn't a fruit called a "Tomato Red" AFAIK :P

:D Well, in that case, it's technically....

RAL 1012: Lemon yellow.
RAL 3018: Strawberry red.
RAL 6003: Olive green.
RAL 7002: Olive grey.
RAL 8008: Olive brown.
RAL 1020: Olive yellow .

Anyhow, in the less industrial powder coat paint orientated, and more arty PANTONEŽ system it's just called Tomato (18-1660 TC). :P

Mulberry's good though...

Erm,

Raspberry

(RAL 3027, PANTONEŽ 18-1754 TC, and a beret in a song)

Guava

KindaWobbly - October 2, 2008 11:00 PM (GMT)
So is the colour the green outside bit or the pink inside bit?

Anyways, I'm proud to present the Colour of the year 2007!

Chili Pepper (PANTONEŽ 19-1557 TC)

:D

Mrs Redeyes - October 13, 2008 11:59 AM (GMT)
