Title: Oriental Or Roast?

JJW009 - March 18, 2009 11:28 PM (GMT)
I have a carefully planned menu of Asian dishes for Friday.

I also accidentally half a pig.

Should I stick with my careful plan, or through it out the window and do a hog roast?

I have plenty of things to do with the pig, and one way or the other I'm going to be freezing something so it makes no real difference to me in the long run. It's up to your personal preference.

So, Chopsticks or Pork?

Plans are good. Although my head does hurt.. :(

I'm happy with either but you've made my mouth water with the current plans, and I think you'd get a lot more out of the pig using it for yourself rather than feeding it to us.

My head hurts.

I love a great roast but if you put some decent sushi or sashumi in front of me then I go weak at the knees.

I went with the original plans, whatever they were. Noodles and chicken terriaki I think

Unfortunately Mrs Red isn't fond of fish, and to be quite honest my sushi isn't that exciting. You just can't get the quality of fish you need to use raw, so I use smoked salmon or tuna. Either that, or non-fish things such as ham or vegetables.

I've also run out of my favourite ginger sauce, which made an excellent addition. I can't find it anywhere :(

:fish:
