DURAN DURAN LYRICS

"The Reflex"

"You've gone too far this time"
But I'm dancing on the valentine
I tell you somebody's fooling around
With my chances on the dangerline
I'll cross that bridge when I find it
Another day to make my stand
High time is no time for deciding
If I should find a helping hand

[CHORUS]
So why don't you use it?
Try not to bruise it
Buy time don't lose it
The reflex is an only child he's waiting in the park
The reflex is in charge of finding treasure in the dark
And watching over lucky clover isn't that bizarre
Every little thing the reflex does
Leaves you answered with a question mark

I'm on a ride and I want to get off
But they won't slow down the roundabout
I sold the Renoir and the TV set
Don't want to be around when this gets out

[CHORUS]

Oh the reflex what a game he's hiding all the cards
The reflex is in charge of finding treasure in the dark
And watching over lucky clover isn't that bizarre
Evey little thing the reflex does
Leaves you answered with a question mark

OK so... a critical anysis of an 80s classic?

What exactly should I avoid bruising... my Mango??

Not sure about your thinking there, JJ - how exactly do you 'use' a mango? :P

No, it's not that bizarre, it's just stupid..... what exactly is it going to do?

On a vaguely related note, I've just watched the 'Girls on Film' video. For an '80s pop video, it's a bit nawty!

Have you really been thinking about it for all those years? :o

It's just a pop song. ;)

QUOTE (Body Snatchers)
Where you gonna go, where you gonna run, where you gonna hide? Nowhere... 'cause there's no one like you left.

Girls on film was the best music video of the last 20 years. Only surpassed recently by the Benny Benassi - Satisfaction. The one with the girls using power tools. :P

Halp Please.

Trying to find a music video, trouble is I don't know what it is called or who performed it.

What I do know is that it was a few years ago that I saw it, probably on here. Was a typically european style track with a male singer and two floozies. I think there were a couple of different versions. Can't find it in here.

Unless they were poll dancing zombie floozies, then I'm not sure I can remember

Any more clues?

On the same youtube page as that was this, Jizz in my pants.

Seen it recently I'm sure, but not sure if it was here or elsewhere.

Some of the facial expressions are hilarious.
