OK, this isn't software but more of a free tip.

I was reading this forum, and noticed the Google ads weren't there on this PC. Then I remembered, I'd turned them off!!

Some where on your PC is the HOSTS file. If you have Windows XP then it is in Windows\System32\Drivers\Etc\

Open this file in Notepad and add the following two lines:

0.0.0.0 ad.doubleclick.net
0.0.0.0 pagead2.googlesyndication.com

that will get rid of most adverts on the electric interweb, no matter what browser you use. If you find another ad' you don't like, add its weby the same way.
