A colleague of mine will be heading to the ExCel centre in Docklands at the weekend (so he won't be with the band at a crappy concert <_< ). Once he mentioned the type of things on offer I thought there might be some interest here ..

Aww man, i wish i knew about these things before hand.. bum..

I bet they already have provisisional date for next year. Stick them in google calendar and set it to email 2/4/6 weeks beforehand.

There's loads of these things on to be honest; I mean there are two Expos every year... but to be honest they're not that interesting.

You do need to go to a couple though, just so you can say "Oh didn't I see you at..." and feel like part of "the scene" :lol:

its a, cough, Brass Band and I play the cornet (like a trumpet but squashed).

You bring your cornet, I'll bring a lump of rock, we'll soon settle that question. ;)

Well if you can play the natural resonant frequency of the rock through the cornet at sufficient amplitude then the cornet may shatter the rock.
