Title: Events

JJW009 - July 22, 2007 06:06 PM (GMT)
It occurred to me that there should be an events thread. I'll start!

Tokonatsu:

The festival starts at 1200 on Friday 3rd August and closes at 16:30 on Sunday 5th August. The Opening Ceremony is at 1800 on Friday 3rd August. There still seem to be a few places left and it's fantastic fun. Basically you get dressed up in cosplay, stay in a tent all weekend, eat noodles and shoot each other with water pistols. I went last year with Lady K. I cosplayed as drunken old pervert.

(I'm Dos on those forums, although you'd recognise the avatar anyway. I made one post I think ^_^)

Other people's Photobuckets:

What else is coming up soon that anyone is going to, or been to before?

AmeCon

"This year, AmeCon returns to the University of Leicester's Main Campus and will run between 10-12 August 2007"

That's like - Soon!

I totally forgot about the Midlands Expo - it was like, last weekend... :(

But the London Expo is in about 3 weeks yay! :)

...when I'm in France on holibobs; damn my timing :(

Anyway; for anyone else here's the website:

it's only £8 but they do make you queue for about an hour

There's LOTS of stores to buy stuff - including TokyoToys, Cosplay, probably ParaPara if you're up for it, Manga contests if you want to draw something, and a bunch of famous people to not quite get to see.
